Προβλήθηκαν την Κυριακή 7 Ιανουαρίου μέσω ζωντανής μετάδοσης του CBS και ζωντανής ροής του Paramount+, οι Χρυσές Σφαίρες έκλεισαν τους μήνες του φεστιβάλ κινηματογράφου και τα βραβεία πρόδρομων βραβείων καθώς τίμησαν τις καλύτερες ταινίες, τηλεοπτικές εκπομπές και παραστάσεις του 2023.

Η φετινή τελετή, με παρουσιαστή τον κωμικό Jo Koy στο στο Beverly Hilton στο Λος Άντζελες, είδε το Oppenheimer του Christopher Nolan να αναδεικνύεται ως υποψήφιος για να κερδίσει μεταξύ των παραγωγών του Hollywood της μεγάλης οθόνης, κερδίζοντας πέντε διακρίσεις καθ' όλη τη διάρκεια της βραδιάς — μεταξύ των οποίων Καλύτερης Ταινίας — Δράμα, Ηθοποιός (Cillian Murphy), Β' Ανδρικού Ρόλου (Robert Downey, Jr.), και μια σειρά από άλλες διακρίσεις.
