Πραγματοποιήθηκαν με επιτυχία τα 50α βραβεία American Music Awards 2022, με μεγάλη νικήτρια της βραδιάς για ακόμη μία χρονιά την Taylor Swift. Η ταλαντούχα τραγουδίστρια απέσπασε 6 τρόπαια, φτάνοντας στον συνολικό αριθμό τα 40 από την συγκεκριμένη διοργάνωση.

Με highlight της βραδιάς την εμφάνιση του Stevie Wonder με τον Charlie Puth,
όπου τραγούδησαν ένα μουσικό αφιέρωμα στον 73χρονο σταρ της μουσικής Lionel Richie αφού τιμήθηκε με το Icon Award 2022.
