Τα 78α Primetime Emmy Awards πέρασαν πλέον στην ιστορία, μετά την τελετή που πραγματοποιήθηκε το βράδυ της Δευτέρας στο Peacock Theater, στο Λος Άντζελες της Καλιφόρνια. Η φετινή διοργάνωση, την οποία παρουσίασε η πρωταγωνίστρια του «Law & Order: Special Victims Unit», Mariska Hargitay, τίμησε τις κορυφαίες επιδόσεις στην αμερικανική τηλεόραση prime time κατά τη διάρκεια της περασμένης χρονιάς.
